Wireless system for music instruments

The Xvive wireless system works with any musical instrument that has a 1/4″ jack output. It offers great freedom of movement on stage by eliminating the need for a jack cable. The wireless system consists of a transmitter that connects to your instrument and a receiver that connects to the next component (amp, effects processor, DI box or sound card).

It works using the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi frequency range and has 4 interchangeable channels to avoid interference problems. The sound is processed without compression thanks to an A/D converter (24bits – 48Hz) which offers a clear sound on all frequencies of the instrument.

The transmitter and receiver are battery operated with a battery life of about 5 hours. They are rechargeable through their own USB port.

Frequent Asked Questions

Is the sound compressed by the wireless system?

The advantage of a wireless system that uses the Wi-Fi frequency band is that there is no compression. They use an analog / digital compressor (24-bit – 48Hz).

Can the sound be interrupted?

The Xvive offers a maximum range of 25 meters which largely covers the needs of any musician on stage. Needless to say, the space must be free of any obstacle!

Can we play with several Xvive at the same time?

Yes, as long as the space in which you are playing is not saturated by dozens of other wireless devices using the same frequencies.

Can I use two transmitters and one receiver?

If you are both a violinist and a guitarist, it is perfectly possible to have one transmitter on each instrument and only one receiver. In this case, each element must be on the same channel. When you switch from one instrument to the other, turn off the transmitter not being used, then turn on the second transmitter which will then connect to the receiver.

Does the Xvive work with active instruments?

Please note that the way some musical instruments are made makes it impossible to use wireless technology. These are exclusively “active” instruments. A musical instrument is said to be active if it has a battery-powered pre-amp. 3Dvarius electric violins are passive and do not have this problem.
